The 1st of August each year is the date all horses in the Southern Hemisphere are judged to turn one year older, no matter their actual foaling date. This is implemented to achieve a uniform date for all equestrian pursuits and was introduced because of the historical lack of records of actual foaling dates
Tuesday 6th June, Residents were invited over to the village club house, The Banks, for morning tea. Once again, the morning was filled with chatter, laughter and yummy food! The ladies always provide a lovely spread and a great social vibe and, of course, there are always a couple of gentlemen from the village ready to chat too!
Unfortunately, the month began with a covid outbreak which altered the lifestyle program somewhat … but Residents gathered in small groups for activities in each wing that was not affected and the Lifestyle Staff managed to fit in lots of 1-on-1 room visits.
It’s great to hear that people are enjoying the JB monthly newsletter. There has been some great positive feedback from families and, as can be seen in the photo, Residents enjoy reading the Funny Bone too (they like to see if they can spot photos of themselves)!
