November began by using the craft sessions to prepare for the Melbourne Cup with fascinators and hats required for the Big Race Day! By the end of the afternoon, there were some lovely creations by the JB milliners
We hope everyone is enjoying our new furniture which has finally arrived. You will notice 3 different styles of chairs in each lounge area with each wing being slightly different in colour. Feedback has been very positive with residents certainly enjoying the stylish comfort as well as freshening up our lounge areas.
Joseph Banks Aged Care was lucky enough to receive a beautiful donation of flowers recently and JB’s resident florist, Jude, did a wonderful job re-organising them into vases for everyone to enjoy.
August with a tasting session of 6 beers from around the world. Residents were asked to taste each beer and then rate it out of 5 with the German brew, Becks, winning the “best tasting”. Winner of the most amusing beer was “Old Fart”, made in England with a very funny verse on the back of the bottle, which you can read in this Funny Bone
