Mother’s Day celebrations
The month of April began with another fabulous visit over to The Banks for morning tea on Tuesday the 2nd. Once again, another lovely spread of cakes and sandwiches awaited JB Residents and, of course, plenty of chatter and laughter!
On 15 April, we remember the
RMS TITANIC,
the British passenger and mail carrying ocean liner, operated by the White Star Line, that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean after hitting an iceberg in 1912. It was the largest ship ever built at that time and was deemed to have been unsinkable. She carried 2240 passengers, of whom 740 survived.
The colour associated with St Patrick’s Day was originally blue – not green! It was changed to green in the 18th century when the shamrock became the national symbol of Ireland
